- Try to play a movie trailer to check the network connectivity, to do that:
- Go to Movies -> Theatrical Trailers.
- Go to Movies -> Theatrical Trailers.
- Make sure that you have installed iTunes 7.1.1 or a later version (Apple TV stuff wasn't in earlier versions).
- Apple TV is not equipped to sync from different computers at once. If you are trying to sync from a different computer's iTunes library, it won't work. You need to go to the Sources menu on your Apple TV and select the computer you're trying to sync.
- Check whether you are able to access iTunes store from the computer you are synching with Apple TV.

- Enter the 5-digit passcode from your TV screen.
- Reset all the equipment by unplugging the power cords of your Apple TV, TV, router (if any), any wireless equipment and restarting it by plugging it back in after a minute.
- Shut and restart your computer.
- Check your router and settings, refer manufacturer's manual if you have trouble.
