Replacing Apple TV Remote Battery
This article explains how to replace the battery in the Apple Remote when the battery's discharged.
The Apple remote uses a CR2032 lithium 3.0 V coin battery. Any small electronic gadgets generally use the same size battery. Whenever the battery is low you will get a display of a low battery on your iMac screen. So let me guide you through steps to replace the battery in your remote.

Push the tray back inside the remote gently. It will give a click sound making sure that it is locked.

- The battery compartment is at the bottom of the Apple Remote.
- Press the battery compartment (if needed use a paper clip or a blunt object) and then slide out the battery tray.
- Remove the old battery and put the new battery in. Also make sure that the battery’s positive side is facing up.
Push the tray back inside the remote gently. It will give a click sound making sure that it is locked.
