Creating your own Theme on Nokia 5300 Xpress Music phone
You need to download a 3rd party software or do it online!
Creating an online theme:
There are several websites available where you can create a theme online and send it to your PC or phone. If you want it to be sent to phone directly, then you need to have GPRS activated on your phone (contact your service provider for more details). Some of the websites are listed below.
Follow the steps below to download the online theme directly onto the phone:
Important: Ensure you have GPRS enabled on your phone.

From the main screen click Menu  button to go to the menu screen. |

Navigate to Web and click Select . |

Click Go to address and key in the wap website address where you created your theme. |  |

Follow the instructions as per the website and download it onto your mobile. After download and saving it, a prompt reading "Saved to ... Apple theme now?" Select Yes if you want to apply it or Select No  if you don't want to. |

Using a 3rd Party software:
There are many software programs available to create themes using your PC, one of the them is Nokia Theme Studio. Download it from the Nokia website or you can search for it on the internet.
Note: You need to have your mobile connected to your PC via USB or Bluetooth to transfer the theme.
Most of the Theme builders are self explanatory. For this example we have used the Nokia Series 40 Theme Studio.
- Start the Theme Studio application by double-clicking on it.
- From the menu bar, click File -> New -> Select the size of the theme [240 x 320].

- You can choose the highlighted options to choose a theme to each and every screen individually.
- Create a theme in .jpg file format using mspaint or any other tool and this can be imported into the Theme Studio by clicking browse
button.
- You can also:
- Select different photographs/images for each and every screen.
- Change the font color by clicking
button.
Note: Ensure that the images you import are of the same size you chose for your theme.
- After you are done with creating the theme for your phone, click Save
button and enter a file name. - Now, find the option on the software to send the file to the mobile phone. (Mostly you find it on the File menu). Click Deploy
button.
- On moving the file to the phone, you might get a prompt reading "Saved to ... Apple theme now?" Select Yes if you want to apply it or Select No if you don't want to. (or) navigate to the folder on the phone where you saved the file and click Apply.
