iTunes is a computer program  to play, organize and buy music files . It is compatible with both Mac and Windows Computers. Now the following are the list of 10 applications that will help iTunes to make it more solid and more competitive.



iPodcopy: This helps you to copy music, videos, photos and games, from your iPod back into iTunes or onto your PC hard disk. It can also copy playlists, artwork, and ratings and play counts from your iPod into iTunes. iPodCopy also lets you manage your Calendars, Contacts and Notes on your iPod.

SharePod: It reads your iPod database and let you extract music files to your hard drive individually or by playlist.

iGadget: This helps you to transfer all kinds of data to your iPod like contacts, appointments, email, notes, tasks, podcasts, RSS news feeds, weather forecasts, daily horoscopes, movie showtimes and so many things!     This article is pretty old.

    For example, CopyTrans (here CopyPod) has evolved a lot since then.
    It now supports songs, playlists, ratings, play count, last played, album artworks, videos, movies, TV shows, audiobooks and podcasts (incl. subscriptions) and imports all that to iTunes in their right order and categories.
    Plus, it's probably the only iPod to PC software that has no step between the copy of the iPod songs to the computer and their actual import to the iTunes library.
    It also features advanced renaming options and folder / sub-folder structure building.
