Get an Internet Explorer Tab under Mozilla Firefox

The same web page looks different sometimes in Firefox and Internet Explorer. Lets see how to open a the same web page in two different browser.

Have you heard the phrase  “Two sides of the same coin?” Well with a simple add on, we can see the two sides of a same web page. You can use Firefox, but then view the page as it would appear in Internet Explorer (without opening IE!). This can be great help for web developers, where they can just switch to Firefox and IE. It's even better for the average surfer, since some pages don't look right in Firefox still.  Before we install this plug in, lets make sure that we close all the web pages under Firefox.

Note: This supports downloads from Microsoft. So you can run Mircosoft Windows Update or Download templates and tools from Microsoft site.

  1. Click here to download the plugin and click on Install Now for Windows.

  2. Click on Install now.

  3. Once the installation is over, click on Restart Firefox.

  4. Now open a web page, right click on the tab and click on Switch rendering engine.

  5. So now you can see the same page opening in Internet Explorer. You can also make out the difference between the two pages.

Nice article. The site is very good, and provides valuable inputs on the usage of FIREFOX.
There is a plugin called IE View Lite, which gives better performance, and is light weight.
