Windows Vista Exception Processing Message 0xc0000013 with parameters

Vista Error Message: No disk in drive. Please insert disk into drive

I get a message saying "Windows - No Disk" on Vista

Before jumping into conclusion to reinstall your OS, follow the steps mentioned.

You will get the above mentioned error when the drive letter of a removable disk or other media drive connected to your PC clashes with the existing disk drive letter.

If your removable media shows up with a drive letter named C:\ or any other existing drive letters, you need to change its drive letter. Here's what you need to do:

Important:  You should login as an administrator to perform the following steps.

  1. Click Start and key in "Computer Management" in the search box.
  2. Click on Computer Management as shown.

  3. An Intermediate dialog box may appear stating "Windows needs your permission to continue".  Click Continue to proceed.

  4. In the Computer Management window, click Disk Management under Storage option.
  5. You will find all the storage devices connected to your PC here.
  6. To change the drive letter, right-click on the connected removable media and click the option Change Drive Letter and Paths...

  7. This would take you to a different box.  Click on Change.

  8. Select the drive letter you want to assign from the drop down.
  9. To confirm, click OK.

  10. Click Yes for the following message.

This should take care of your problem.

I checked out other web sites and found a common issue caused by a program called "coreliomonitor.exe". It should show up in the taskmanger window under processes. Kill it and the problem will go away. Go to the msconfig and uncheck the loading of the program during startup and the problem is solved. A request has gone out to Corel about the issue.

I just experienced this problem with the error code continuing with exception processing message c0000013 0x75a892a0.... I kept getting the error message over and over, and while troubleshooting started searching for an answer online.

No luck there, everyone wanted me to go deep and start editing my registry or change a drive letter or something.

Finally, before diving into the stability of my computer and risking it all, I started thinking about drives and what could be missing. I looked down at my desk's built in usb hub and saw that my removable flash card adapter/reader was plugged in. Guess what was empty? I pulled it out, hit continue and the error disappeared.

Try this, or see if it sparks troubleshooting brilliance (or luck, if you think that way) for you, before you go risking it all...
