Skype is doing a lot to break the monotony of a phone call. Here are the top ten interesting features that comes with Skype and makes your phone calls more exciting and fascinating.

       
  1. Filtering and Blocking Users: Nowadays you need to be very careful when people call you and try to trick you by asking you for credit card and other financial information. You might land up with an empty bank balance. This is known as Vishing (VOIP phishing). With Skype you can block your unwanted calls. You need to select Options and select Privacy. Here you can choose the level of security that you think is best for you.


    If you want to block anybody individually, you can block him or her by clicking on Manage blocked users in Options > Privacy.


  2. A DIY Home Security System: You can keep an eye on your house whenever you are away. You just need two separate Skype accounts, a computer at home with a webcam, and access to the Internet. Using one account, setup the home version of Skype to auto-answer calls and automatically switch on the webcam. Then to check in, just use the second Skype account to call the first, and the webcam video will come up.
