Error Message: "Java.lang.NullPointerException" while trying to send a SMS from BlackBerry
You come across this issue when your Folder Id is corrupted.
To solve the Error Message,perform following steps:
- Disable Wireless Reconciliation:
- Select Message Screen > Options.
- Select Email Reconciliation, Click TrackWheel.
- Change the option to Wireless Reconcile to OFF.
Note: When you send a new service book, perform the above 3 steps to bring back the wireless reconciliation, by changing the option to ON.- Clear the Folders Database:
- After Disabling,connect Blackberry phone to your computer and Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
- Double click and Backup>Restore.
- From the right pane, Select Folders Database and Back up it by selecting File > Save As and save file to personal computer.
- Select folder to right pane and Click Clear.
- Delete the Desktop Service book:
- On the BlackBerry device Select Options > Service Book.
- Click on Trackwheel.
- Select Desktop [CMIME] , Click on Trackwheel and Select Delete.
- In the Warning Dialog Box Select Delete again.
- Send a New Service book:
- To Send a New Service Book, you should have a account on BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
If yes, connect the BlackBerry device to the Computer and the service book will be sent to the BlackBerry Device.
