Internet Explorer crashes while trying to open in a new window.

This problem occurs if the previous Internet Explorer window displays one or more XSL transformations.

When you are trying to open Internet Explorer in a new window while closing the previous Internet Explorer window, then your Internet Explorer is likely to crash and display one or more XSL transformations.

This problem occurs when your Internet Explorer threads are corrupted. Microsoft XML Parser version 3.0 (MSXML 3.0) throws an access violation during the XSL transformation.

This is how you fix this issue:

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft for those who are experiencing this specific problem. However, this hotfix may receive additional testing from Microsoft. Therefore, its better to wait for the  next MSXML 3.0 service pack.

Still, if you need to obtain hotfix, contact Microsoft Product Support Services.
