Error Message "No Tuner Available" for Vista
When you configure Windows Media Center without connecting to the Internet you may encounter "No Tuner Available" error message in your Windows Vista-based computer.
Guide data provides required information to the tuner about the correct frequencies and channel information. Hence it is compulsory to download the Guide in order to complete the configuration of the tuner.
To resolve this issue you have to run Windows Media Center Setup again by providing a temporary Internet connection to download Guide.

Please follow these steps to run Setup again.
- Start Windows Media Center.
- Click Tasks.
- Click Settings.
- Click TV.
- Click Set Up TV Signal.
- Click Yes when you are notified that changing TV signal settings will interrupt recording.
- Click Next on the Set Up Your TV Signal screen.
- Click Yes, "use this region to configure TV services" to verify that the correct region is selected, and then Click Next.
- Click "Configure my TV signal automatically", and then click Next.
- Click Yes to verify that the TV signal configuration settings are correct, and then click Next.
- Click "Set Up Guide listings", and then click Next twice.
- Click Yes on the "Guide Privacy" screen, and then click Next.
- Click I agree if you agree to the "Guide Terms of Service", and then click Next.
- Note: To continue, you must click I agree to accept the "Guide Terms of Service".
- Click "Manual download", and then click Next twice.
- Type "ZIP Code" or "Postal Code" when prompted, and then click Next.
- Verify your "signal provider" if prompted, and then click Next.
- Note: After Windows Media Center has downloaded the Guide, the Internet connection is no longer required.
- Continue the remaining steps to complete Setup.
- Restart Windows Media Center.
