How to speed up Mozilla Firefox on Ubuntu

Follow these steps to speedup Mozilla Firefox on Ubuntu.

   
To open the web browser, go to Applications > Internet > Firefox Web Browser .

      

       Type about:config in the address bar as shown below.
   

      
      
        You will see a screen with a list of configuration entries as below.

             
          
      
        In the Filter box, type network.dns.disableIPv6

     Right click on network.dns.disableIPv6. Click Toggle to set the value of the entry to true.
   
   

      
        The value will now change to true.      

      

       Now enter network.http.pipelining in the filter box as shown.

    Right click on the first entry. Click on Toggle to change the value to true.


      
      
      
       Select the entry network.http.pipelining.maxrequests . Right click and select "Modify".


      
      
       Enter value 8 in the textbox of the Enter Integer Value screen. Click on OK.


      

     You should now see a screen as shown below.



      

       Next, enter network.http.proxy.pipelining in the filter box.
   


      

       Select the entry and right click on it. Select Toggle.
   
    The value will change to true.

   
    You should see a screen like the one shown below.
