How to install printer on Ubuntu

Adding printer on Ubuntu

• Go to System > Administration > Printing

• Printers  window is displayed. Double click on New Printer icon.

         

• Displays Add a Printer window. Select Printer Type as Local or Detected Printer.
  

• Clicking on Use a detected Printer, select a printer from the list and click on Forward.
  

        

• Select Manufacturer, Model and Driver as Postscript. Click on Forward.
  

• Give the printer a sensible description and location and click Apply . The printer is successfully installed
  

Checking if the Printer is installed successfully

• Go to System > Administration > Printing

         

• Printers window should be displayed with newly added printer.

• Send a test print to ensure that the printer is working properly.
