Using Contacts on Sony Ericsson K790a

Different ways to use the contacts:

•    Call phone contact
•    Call SIM contact
•    Send contacts to another device
•    Copy contacts to SIM
•    Copy contacts to Phone
•    Add a picture or ringtone to a phone contact
•    Edit phone contact
•    Edit SIM contact
•    Synchronize your contacts

To call a phone contact:
  1. > Contacts-Scroll or enter the first letter or letters of the first contact
  2. When the contact is highlighted, click to select number > Call

To call SIM contact:
  1. If SIM Contact is set as default > Contacts > when the contact is highlighted, click to select number > Call
  2. If Phone Contact is set as default > Contacts > More > Options > SIM contacts and select Call

To send a contact to another device:
  1. Contacts and select a contact
  2. > More > Send contact and select a transfer method
To send all contacts: > Contacts > More > Options > Advanced > Send all contacts and select a transfer method

To copy Names and Numbers to SIM card:
  1. > Contacts > More > Options > Advanced > Copy to SIM
  2. Select one of the alternatives
Note: When copying all contacts from phone to SIM card all existing information is replaced.

To copy Names and Numbers to Phone contacts:
  1. > Contacts > More > Options > Advanced > Copy from SIM
  2. Select one of the alternatives

To add a picture, ring tone sound or video to a phone contact:
  1. > Contacts and select a contact > More > Edit contact
  2. Select the relevant tab and then select Picture or Ringtone > Add
  3. Select and option and an item and Save

To edit a phone contact:
  1. Contacts and select a contact > More > Edit Contact
  2. Scroll to the relevant tab and select the field to edit > Edit
  3. Edit the information > Save
To edit a SIM contact:
  1. If SIM Contact is set as default > Contacts > select the name and number to edit
  2. If Phone Contact is set as default > Contacts > More > Options > SIM contacts > select the name and number to edit
  3. > More > Edit Contact and edit the name and number
Synchronizing contacts:
  1. You can synchronize your contacts with contact application on the web
To save and restore contacts with a memory card:
  1. > Contacts > More > Options > Advanced > Back to MS or Restore from MS
To select and order for contacts:
  1. > Contacts > More > Options > Advanced > Sort Order
