Xbox 360 Error Message: “This action cannot be performed at this time. Please try again later”.

You get this error message when trying to access Xbox Live account management from Xbox 360 console. This is caused when the Windows Live ID is experiencing technical problems

Try these simple steps to resolve this issue…
  1. Try the migration process again. If you get the above error message while you are migrating from Xbox live account for a minor from an original box console to Xbox 360 console.

  2. If the migration process fails continuously then recover your account from original Xbox console.

    For doing that, follow these steps: 

    • Sign-out from the Xbox Live, if you are sign-in.

    • Remove all profiles from the Xbox 360 console that have the same name as gamertag that is to be recovered.

      Note: Move to the System section of the Xbox Dashboard and select Memory to access the screen for deleting the profiles.

    • Select Recover Gamertag from Xbox Live in the Xbox Live section.

    • When you are prompted enter Gamertag that you want to recover Click Next.

    • On the Windows Live ID Account screen press Y button to select Recover with Original Xbox Info.

      Note: If the gamertag is recovered previously to the Xbox 360 console then Recover with original xbox
                 Info       option will not be available.

    • To finish the account recover process enter the required information at the appropriate prompts.

               Note: You have to create a new Windows Live ID account while recovering an account. You have to use
                      that email address and password to sign in to the Windows Live ID.

  3. Use the correct Windows Live Id credentials while maintaining more than one Windows Live ID account.

    Note: Windows Live ID credentials refers to the email address and password that you use to sign in to the Windows Live ID

  4. Determine whether you are able to sign in to Windows Live Id by using Windows Live credentials or not.

  5. If you are able to sign in to Windows Live ID but unable to sign in to Xbox 360 then you have to recover your Xbox Live account to regain to access your account.
     Note: Step 1 & 2 are applicable only when you want to recover your gamertag from an original Xbox console to an
              Xbox 360 console
