Sending Text Messaging on Sony Ericsson K790a
Did you know that your phone supports various messaging services? Have you heard of sending an SMS? Read on for information on how create and send a text message.
Text Messages (SMS):Text Messages contains simple pictures, sound effects, animation and melodies. You can also create and use templates in your messages.
Note: If you send a text message to a group you will be charged for each member.
The number to your service center is provider by your service provider and is usually set on your SIM card. If not you can enter the number yourself.
To set a service center number:
- > Messaging > Settings > Text Message > Service Center. If the Service Center number is saved on your SIM card it is shown.
- If there is no number shown > Edit > New Service Center and enter the new number and the “+” prefix and country regional code and Save
Sending Text Messages
To write and send a text message:
- > Messaging > Write New > Text Message
- Write your message > Continue. You can save a message for later in Drafts > Save Message
- Enter phone no and enter a number > Contacts Lookup to retrieve a number or a group from Contacts, or enter Email Address or select from last used recipients > Send
To send a message to an email address you need to set and email number.
- Messaging > Settings > Text Message > Email Gateway. The number is provided by your service provider.
To copy and paste a text in a message:
- When writing your message > More > Copy&Paste
- Copy all or > Mark and Copy and use the navigation key to scroll and mark text in your message.
- More > Copy > Paste > Paste
To insert an item in a text message
- When writing your message > More > Add Item
- Select an option and then an item for example a picture.
Great Tip! Helps save cost as well as doesn't disturb recipients when they are busy.
