Receiving Text Messages on Sony Ericsson K790a
Did you know that your phone supports several messaging services? Have you heard of receiving SMS? Read on to learn how to receive, save and delete a text message.
Receiving Text Messages:
- When you receive a text message it appears in the activity menu if New Events is set to Activity Menu > View to read messages.
- If New Events is set to Pop up, you are asked if you want to read the text message > Yes to read the message > No to read later.
- When you have read the text message > More for options and press left arrow button to close the message.
To call a number in a text message:
- Select the phone number displayed in the message > Call
Saving and Deleting Text messages: Received Text messages are saved in the phone’s memory. When the phone’s memory is full, delete messages or move them to the SIM card to be able to receive new messages. Messages saved on the SIM card remain until they are deleted.
To save a message:
- > Messaging > Inbox and select messages to save.
- > More > Save message
- > Save Messages to save on SIM card or Templates to save a message as a template in the phone
To save an item in a text message:
- When reading a message, select a phone number, picture or web address to save > More
- Use (the phone number you have selected appears) > Save Number to save number or Use (the bookmark you have selected appears) > Save Bookmark to save the bookmark
To delete a message:
- > Messaging and select a folder.
- Select the message to delete and press ‘C’
To save or delete several messages:
- > Messaging and select folder
- Select a message > More > Delete All Msgs or > Mark Several scroll and select messages by pressing > Mark or Unmark
- > More > Save messages to save messages or > Delete to delete messages
