You get this error when there are some network issues with the Windows network configuration when installing the Palm Desktop.

The PC might say that installation is 100 complete but you still end up getting this error. Given below are the steps for fix this problem.
  1. Restart your Windows in Safe Mode.
  2. In Safe Mode, run the Palm Desktop Installer.
  3. Restart Windows.
Follow the steps given below to restart your computer in Safe Mode.
  1. Close all applications and restart your computer.
  2. While restarting, press F8 to see the boot menu
  3. Choose Safe Mode and press Enter.
  4. Install Palm Desktop.
  5. Restart your computer.
