Setting up Verizon Wireless SMTP account on Moto Q phone
Setting up SMTP is pretty easy! You can do it online!
If you have one of the following accounts already existing with you then skip to Email Configuration step.
Follow the steps given below to register:
According to Verizon, it will take a maximum of 80 hours for your account to get activated. During this time you will not be able to send any emails using SMTP

Follow the steps given below to register:
- Go to www.vtext.com. Click on Register.
- Key in your Verizon 10-digit mobile number in the first field and click Send.
- You should receive a text message with a temporary password on your phone.
- Enter the received password in the second field. (Ensure that you enter the password exactly as you got it. It is case sensitive)
- Enter a new password in third Field and re-enter the same in fourth Field 4 to confirm.
- Click Save.
According to Verizon, it will take a maximum of 80 hours for your account to get activated. During this time you will not be able to send any emails using SMTP
Email Configuration:
- You need to use the Server Name as "smtp.vzwmail.net"
- The Username is your 10-digit mobile number@vzwmail.net (e.g. 1234567890@vzwmail.com)
- The Password is your Single Sign On (SSO) account password
SMTP allowances:
- The maximum message size is 10 MB.
- You can send a message to 100 recipients at single give time.
