How do I configure my Comcast High-Speed Internet for Windows XP Internet connection settings?

To set your Windows XP computer to use DHCP, please follow the instructions outlined below.

  • Go to Start > All Programs > Control Panel

       
  • In the Control Panel window, select Network Connections

         
  • Select Local Area Connection and right click on it. Select Properties

         
  • In Local Area Connection Properties window, select General tab. Check TCP/IP and click on Properties.

            
  • In TCP/IP properties window,  select General tab, check Obtain an IP address automatically. Click on OK.

            

After you have configured your computer for DHCP, please restart your computer.
