How do I configure my Comcast High-Speed Internet for Windows XP Internet connection settings?
To set your Windows XP computer to use DHCP, please follow the instructions outlined below.

Go to Start > All Programs > Control Panel

In the Control Panel window, select Network Connections

Select Local Area Connection and right click on it. Select Properties

In Local Area Connection Properties window, select General tab. Check TCP/IP and click on Properties.

In TCP/IP properties window, select General tab, check Obtain an IP address automatically. Click on OK.

After you have configured your computer for DHCP, please restart your computer.
