More Reasons why Safari 3 sucks!
This Safari 3 sure is driving me up the wall. I have encountered more flaws since last night!
Listed below are some more problems that I faced last night while trying to explore Safari 3.
- Print Preview: The Escape key doesn't close the print preview.
- Fonts: Fonts are too fuzzy, and I do not find any clear type fonts.
- Mouse middle button: The Mouse middle button does not close tabs like it happens in IE and FF.
- Alt+Enter: If you highlight any URL and press Alt + Enter it opens up the current address in a new tab. But with Safari 3, it refuses to open up.
- Drop down shadow: When you move the cursor on the top of a tab, the drop down shadow is missing which makes it difficult to identify which application is focused.
- Skype: Now this is for Skype users. You can't use Safari 3 to pay for a Skype account. The transaction won't go through, and you'll be requested to use another browser. Skype states this is a "known issue" with Safari. Firefox works without any problem.
- Windows Live Hotmail: Windows Live Hotmail doesn’t work with Safari 3. Microsoft will direct you to either IE or FF. Here is the error message - "This is the classic version of Windows Live Hotmail. This version works better with your browser. The full version of Windows Live Hotmail runs on Internet Explorer 6.0 and higher (make sure you check the system requirements before you install it). The full version also works on Firefox 1.5."

- Flash Animations: Flash animations are a pain in Safari 3. They play much slower compared to Firefox.
