How do I use Remote Assist facility provided by Comcast?
In the process of troubleshooting, Comcast Support Representative may unnecessarily connect to your PC and remotely take control of it.
The Process of connecting remotely is referred to as "Remote Assist".
NOTE: It is always optional for you as a Comcast customer to give permission. You can grant and disable permission to Comcast Support Representatives.
To establish a remote assistance session, follow the steps outlined below:

Go to Comcast help page and click on Download Assisted Support link.

Select Save to Disk and click on OK.

Browse the file Comcast Assisted Support Controls and double click on it to Install.

Configures Comcast Assisted Support.

Read the License agreement and click on Accept

Enter your email address in the space provided, and check the box labeled Enable passkey for this session. Click on Enter.

Select the Grant Full Control / View Only Control button. Changes the status from Disabled to Enabled. Provide the Comcast Support Representative your passkey.
NOTE: Click the Stop Remote Access button if at any point of time you wish to end the remote control access for the Support Representative.

You will receive a confirmation window when the Comcast Support Representative connects to your PC. Click Accept Access to give the representative access to your PC.
