Download and Install Microsoft ActiveSync 4.x
Active sync is required to synchronize your mobile with Outlook and Windows based PC.
ActiveSync acts as a gateway between your Windows based phone and PC. ActiveSync not only synchronizes your PC with your phone but also sync's emails, calendar, tasks and contact information and updates it to your phone wirelessly. To download and install ActiveSync, follow the steps below:

- Close all the applications that you have opened.
- Open your browser and go to http://www.microsoft.com/.
- In the search text field on the top right corner, key in activesync and press enter.
- Select the suitable version from the list of results (for ex: 4.2) here.
Important: ActiveSync 4.5 only works with Outlook 2007. Download this version only if you have Outlook 2007.
- After the setup file downloads, double-click on the icon to start the installation process.
- If you get a security warning, bypass it by clicking Run.
- Click Next.
- On the next screen, click on I accept the terms in the license agreement. Click Next.
- Enter your details here and click Next.
- If you want to change the partition for the installation files, click Change... or just click Next.
- Click Install.
- Click Finish.
- You should restart your PC for ActiveSync to complete the settings.
