How do I verify Comcast Mail setting in Macintosh?

Select Mail icon from the dock.

Email address: your @comcast.net email address.
Incoming Mail Server: mail.comcast.net.
Mail Server Type: select POP3.
User Account ID: Your User Account ID is everything leading up to, but not including the @comcast.net part of your email address. For example, if your email address is iptouch@comcast.net, you would enter iptouch as your User Account ID.
Password: your password
Outgoing (SMTP) Mail Server: smtp.comcast.net

Click on OK to save the mail setup.

Click Mail from the top menu, and select Preferences from the drop-down list.

Select Add Account on Account window

Select Account Information tab on Add Account window. Select Account Type as POP  from drop-down menu, enter your email address and full name in fields Email Address and Full Name. Set Incoming Mail Server as mail.comcast.net. User Name is everything leading up to, but not including the @comcast.net part of your email address. For example, if your email address is iptouch@comcast.net, you would enter iptouch as your User Name. After entering your password, select smtp.comcast.net from the drop down Outgoing Mail Server. Click on Options...

On the SMTP Server Options screen, enter smtp.comcast.net as your Outgoing Mail Server. Make sure that Authentication is set to Password and enter your email user name and password in the designated fields.  Click OK to return to the Account window.

Click on the Advanced tab, set Port to 110 and click on OK

Click OK when you return to the Account Information screen, and then close the Accounts window. Now you should be able to send and receive mails without any difficulty
