Installing Ring Tones on Motorola Q

Learn how to download and install ring tones from your computer to your Motorola Q device.

Ring tones are always fun and can create an impression when you are in a crowd. Follow the steps mentioned below to install ring tones on your Motorola Q.

You need to do the following on your Computer:
  1. First of all open ActiveSync on your Computer.
  2. Click on Explore button.
  3. Double click on device icon.
  4. Open the application data folder.
  5. Now open the sounds folder.
  6. Drag the ring tone file from your desktop folder into the into the sounds folder.
  7. Now safely disconnect your Motorola Q.


Now follow these steps on your Motorola Q.
  1. Press the start button, which is the same as the left soft key.
  2. Scroll to select settings.
  3. Now scroll down to sounds.
  4. Scroll to ring tone.
  5. Press the navigation key to the preferred ring tone.
  6. Press Done which is same as Left soft key.

So this way you can install a customized ring tone to your Motorola Q.
