Get Yahoo Messenger on your Verizon Phone
You need a Verizon Get it Now enabled phone to download IM.
For steps to download IM on your mobile, see the main article.
After Mobile IM is downloaded:
| 1. | Access it by navigating from Messaging > Mobile IM. You should see this screen on your phone. |  |
| 2. | Select Yahoo! and select OK. |  |
| 3. | Enter your Yahoo account name and password using your phone keypad and press Sign In. |  |
| 4. | Once you are logged in, you will see all your contacts on Yahoo Messenger. Now you can send instant messages. |  |
To send an IM:
| 1. | navigate to the contact from the list and click OK button. | |
| 2. | Key in your message and click Send. |  |
To add a contact:
| 1. | select the left soft key and click OK button. |  |
| 2. | Navigate to List Actions and select OK. |  |
| 3. | Select Add a Contact and click OK. |  |
| 4. | Key in your pal's Yahoo ID and select Send. |  |
To send an instant message to one or more contacts at a time:
| 1. | Select the left soft key and click OK button. | |
| 2. | Select Send IM To... and click OK. |  |
| 3. | Select Group and click OK. |  |
| 4. | Select contacts by highlighting and pressing OK key. You can select up to 5 contacts here. |  |
| 5. | When you are done, click Next. | |
| 6. | Key in your text here and select Send. |  |
