Treo 600 : Tips and tricks for the Built-In Keyboard.

The numbers, letters and symbols are bigger and easier to see in the built-in QWERTY keyword on Treo 600.


The new built-in QWERTY keyboard on the Treo 600 smartphone is significantly smaller then older model.

The keys are actually larger on Treo 600 built-in QWERTY keyboard. It also has a convex dome shape that allows you to use the center of  your thumb against the key, which avoids pressing the rest of your thumb against adjacent keys. This has significantly increased the speed of entering the text.



Let's look at the most important changes made on the new Treo 600 keyboard:
  • BackLight : The treo 600 also include another new feature that is backlight. This is useful when you enter text in the dark. It automatically turns on every time when you turn on Treo’s screen and it also shuts off automatically after a small span of time, if you don’t use it.
  • Applications Launcher : Now it looks like this () and has its own keys.

  • Menu : Now it looks like this ( ) and has no slash mark on it(/).

    Note: Menu shortkey still work.just press (
    ) , then press the shortcut letter key.
  • Alt : It looks like this ( ) . This is the new name for the ListType Key, which unlocks accented and other special characters.

  • Options: It looks like this (). It is same as the older treo model. The option key helps you to type the numbers and symbols the you see at the top of the letter keys.
