Uninstalling Palm Desktop and HotSync Manager

Given here is a method to uninstalling Palm Desktop and HotSync Manager for Windows and Mac OS's.

When you install the software on the CD for a new device, or upgrade to the latest available version of Palm Desktop., you usually do not need to uninstall any previous version. You can simply install the new version over the old version and the relevant components will be updated.

The data in your user folder will translate to the new version. It will not be deleted. You don't need to do anything special; just proceed with the installation.

If you're experiencing problems with Palm Desktop and HotSync Manager, it sometimes helps to uninstall the software and re-install it, or upgrade to the latest version. Don't install multiple instances. We recommend having only one installation of Palm Desktop and HotSync Manager on your PC or Mac. Installing multiple copies of the software under different Windows/Mac accounts can cause problems.
