Sending a DTMF Tone from your Nokia E60.

A DTMF tone gets generated when a key is pressed on the phone's keypad.

The tone is decoded by the exchange to determine which key was pressed.

DTMF tones let the phone user communicate with voice mailboxes and computerised telephony systems.

As an example: When having a voice call,

• Select Options > Send DTMF.
  
  
• To send DTMF tone strings (for example, a password). Enter the DTMF string or search it in Contacts.
  
  
• To enter a wait character (w) or a pause character (p), press *OK to send the tone repeatedly.
  
  
• Select OK to send the tone.
  

Note: You can add DTMF tones to the Phone number or DTMF fields in a contact card.
