Troubleshooting: Unable to Sync Contacts with Outlook on your Motorola Razr V3M Verizon
Due to memory limitations on the phone, most phones will not support storing of more than 1500 contacts. Hence if you are trying to sync with your Outlook contacts folder that has more than 1500 contacts, you will be unable to sync. Read on to resolve the issue.
You can avoid this issue by creating a phone sync folder in Outlook and synching with that.
To create a phone sync folder:
- Open Outlook and create a new folder (ex "PhoneContacts") under Contacts
- Move all the contacts you want to synch with to this folder.
- On the main menu of Motorola Phone Tools, click on phone book.
- You will see a two-pane view.
- On the Outlook side choose the Phone Contacts subfolder you created.
- To do this, click on the drop down list on the top left hand side and select.
- Select or Shift-select all the phone numbers on the phone side.
- Click transfer icon.
- Save changes.
- Close window.
