Palm Error Message: "The application 'HotSync Manager' could not be launched because of a shared library error: -4 [HotSync Manager][HotSync Manager][HotSyncLib.PPC][]"
Guide yourself through the steps below to overcome this error message.
- Locate your user folder on your Mac.
- Establish a copy of this folder and move it to a safer site(for example, on your Mac desktop).
- Log off your Mac.
- Login as the root user. If you're unsure how to do this, please consult Apple for support.
- Put in the Palm CD, or locate the Palm Desktop file you downloaded.
- Look for the Palm Desktop installer file.
- While holding down the Control tab, Press Installer.
- Select "Show Package Contents."
- Select "Contents."
- Select "Resources."
- Double Click on "Install Utility."
- If given commands, enter your Mac OS password.
- Revert to the Palm Desktop Installer.
- Double Click on Installer to start a normal installation procedure.
