To install the Palm Desktop software on a Macintosh operating system, follow the procedure given below: |

- Your device comes with a software CD.
- The Install Icon appears as you put in the CD in your desk top's CD-ROM drive.
- Double Click on the Install Icon to open the corresponding window.
- Double Click on the image representing the Palm Desktop Installer.
- A window indicating that you are entering the Palm Desktop software appears.
- Press CONTINUE.
- Proceed through the following windows until you come to the Palm Installer window. We recommend that you choose the Easy Install option.
- In the upper left corner of the window, Press the drop down menu and choose Easy Install if you want the Macintosh OS to install all the applications linked with your Palm Desktop.
- If you wish to reorganize your installation with your choices, Select Custom Install. From the list of installation options, select the applications that you want to accompany your Desktop software.
- Press the Install button in the lower left corner of the window.
- A window appears, asking you to decide where you would like to install your Palm Desktop software.
- Select a site and Press Install at the bottom right corner of the window.
- An Installation confirmation appears, followed by a window prompting you to set up your HotSync software.
- Choose a user name, and select which port you wish to plug the HotSync cradle into.
- Press Save & Restart, located at the bottom of the window.
- Your Macintosh now restarts with the Palm Desktop software fully installed.
