Offline Profile on your Nokia N71 PC Suite

The Offline profile allows you to use your phone without connecting to any wireless network, or without using a SIM card.


When the Offline profile is active, the connection to the wireless network is turned off, which is shown by an X in the signal strength indicator.

In this mode you cannot send messages, they are placed in the outbox to be sent later.

In order to start making calls, you must first activate the phone function by changing profiles.

To leave the Offline profile, perform the following steps:
  • Go to Menu

  • Select Tools and then choose

  • Click on Profiles(choose another profile)

  • Select Options and then choose Activate
Note: If a Bluetooth connection is activated before entering the Offline profile, it will be deactivated.

A Bluetooth connection is automatically reactivated after leaving the Offline profile.
