Nokia 5300 Xpress Music: Begin an IM session.

Instant messages can be sent to anyone provided you have the person’s exclusive ID and you subscribe to the same IM service.

To Begin an IM session:

  1. From your contacts list,choose a contact who is in online
  2. You can send messages to contacts who are offline depending on your network provider.
  3. To send a message to a person who is not included in your contacts list, Choose Options, the option to send a message and type in the ID of the person.
  4. A conversation menu, showing the person's name, is displayed.
  5. Select Send after you finish typing the message.
