To make a call from the Nokia 5300:
1. Slide the elevated part of the phone up.
2. Enter the phone number as well as the area code .
3. For international calls, Press the * key twice for the international prefix, enter the country code, area code without the leading 0, if required and then the phone number.
4. Press the Call tab, to call the number. Press the ‘+’ key to raise the volume and the ‘-‘ tab to lower the volume.
5. Press the End tab or shut the device, to end the call or cancel the call attempt.
6. To search for names and numbers saved in Phonebook:
- Go to Search for contact.
- Press the Call tab to make a call to that person.
7. To search for a contact from the main Menu:
- Choose Phonebook.
- Press Select Names.
8. Press the Call tab only once while the device is idle to open the list of dialed numbers.
9. To call a number:
- Select the number or name you want to call.
- Press the Call tab.
