Using the MultiMediaCard (MMC) on your Nokia 6670
MultiMediaCard (MMC) can be used to back up information from phone memory and to store multimedia files such as video clips, sound files, photos, messaging data, etc.
Follow the steps given below for options available on your phone:
Note: 1. Only use MMC Cards with this device. Other MultimediaCards, such as
Secure Digital (SD) cards, will not fit in the MMC card slot and are not
compatible with the device.
2. Using non-compatible MultiMediaCard may damage the MultiMediaCards
as well as the hone and data stored on the non-compatible card may be
corrupted.
More MultiMediaCard options:
- Select Menu.
- Select Extra option.
- Choose Memory option.
- Options in MultiMediaCard are:
- Backup phone mem.
- Restore from card
- Format mem.card
- MultiMediaCard name
- Set password
- Change password
- Remove password
- Memory details
- Help
- Exit

Format MultiMediaCard:
When a MultiMediaCard is formatted, all data on the card is permanently lost.Back to Top
- Some MultiMediaCards are supplied preformatted and others require formatting.The MultiMediaCard supplied with phone is preformatted.
- File Manager is used to check for the data on a MultiMediaCard before formatting it.
- To format a MultiMediaCard:
- Select Options > Format mem.card
- Select yes to confirm
Back up and restore information:
You can only back up the phone memory and restore it to the same model of the phone.Back to Top
- To back up information from phone memory to the MultiMediaCard,
Select Options > Backup phone mem.
- To restore information from MultiMediaCard to phone memory,
Select Options > Restore from card.
Lock the MultiMediaCard:

- You can set a password to lock the MultiMediaCard against unauthorized use,
Select Options > Set password.
- You will be asked to enter and confirm your password.the password can be up to eight characters long.
- The password is stored in phone and no need to enter it again while you are using the MultiMediaCard on the same phone. If you use MultiMediaCard on another phone then only you need to enter the password to unlock the card.

If you insert another password protected MultiMediaCard in your phone, you
will be prompted upon startup to enter the password of the card.
- Enter the Password.
- Press OK to unlock the card or press Cancel to leave the card locked.
- To unlock the card later:
Select Menu > Extra > Memory > Options > Unlock MultiMediaCard
- Enter the password then Press OK.
Remove MultiMediaCard:
To remove a MultiMediaCard password entirely:

You can check the memory consumption of different data groups and the available memory for installing new applications or software on your MultiMediaCard.
