What you can do with a Memory Card in Motorola Razr V3M Verizon

This solution will provide general information on using the memory card. You can use a removable SD memory card with your phone to store and retrieve multimedia objects (such as photos and sounds). Your phone can use SD cards with up to a two GB capacity.



Note: If you download a copyrighted file and store it on your memory card, you can use the file only while your memory card is inserted in your phone. You cannot send, copy, or change copyrighted files.

Installing the memory card:

Important:  Don't bend or scratch your memory card. Keep it away from static electricity, water, and dirt.
  • Open the memory card door and press the SD memory card into its slot until it clicks into place.
  • Do not remove your memory card while your phone is using or writing files on it.
  • To remove the memory card, push the card in until it clicks. It begins to slide out, and you can slide it the rest of the way out.
Viewing memory card contents:
  • Press the Main Menu key
  • Scroll to and Select Multimedia
  • Scroll to and Select Media Finder
Note: If your phone does not prompt you to refresh the list, press the Options key, and then Refresh.

To see only the files stored on your memory card:
  • Press the Main Menu key
  • Scroll to and Select Office Tools
  • Scroll to and Select File Manager
  • Select the memory card icon
Tip: Is your phone not seeing your memory card? Try turning your phone off, then on again. Then, return to the File Manager list.

Copying files from the phone to the memory card:
You can copy files (such as pictures and photos, video clips, and sound files) from your phone to the memory card.
  • Press the Main Menu key
  • Scroll to and Select Office Tools
  • Scroll to and Select File Manager
  • Select a folder and scroll to the file you want to copy
  • Press the Options key
  • Scroll to and Select Send to
  • Scroll to and Select Memory Card
Note: The Send to option does not appear if the highlighted file is copyright-protected.The Memory Card option does not appear if your phone does not find a memory card installed.
Tip: Did your phone not find the memory card you installed? Try turning your phone off, then on again. Then, try to copy the file again.
