Changing Motorola V220 Handsets' Codes/Passwords

Your Motorola V220 handset 4-digit unlock code is originally set to 1234, and the 6-digit security code is originally set to 000000. Here's how you change it.

Your service provider may reset these codes/passwords before you receive your Motorola V220 handset.

If your service provider has not reset these codes/passwords, zolved recommends you to change them to prevent others from accessing your personal information. The Unlock Code must contain 4 digits, and the Security Code must contain 6 digits.

You can also reset your SIM card PIN code, PIN2 code, and/or call barring password if necessary.

Follow the steps below to change a
Code or Password:
  • Press Menu button.
  • Select Settings.
  • Select Security.
  • Select New Passwords.
  • Note: Remember the new code/password entered by you. Your Motorola V220 mobile will be blocked if you forget your codes/passwords.
