Sony Ericsson W810a: Text Messaging.
This article tells you how to Create and Send Text Messages in the Sony Ericsson W810a.

To Set a Service Center Number:
1. From the main Menu:
- Choose Messaging.
- Select Settings.
- Select Text Message
- Select Service Center.
2. If the Service Center Number is cached on your SIM card, it shows up in the list.
3. If the Service Center Number cannot be located:
- Click on New Service Center and type in the new number with “+” prefix and country regional code.
- Press Save.
To Write and Send Text messages:
1. From the main Menu:
- Choose Messaging.
- Press Write New.
- Press Text Message.
2. Write your text and Press Continue. Press .jpg){kind=small}
. Press Yes to save your message in Drafts.
- Type in the number or
- Go to Contacts Look-Up, to get a number or a group from Contacts or
- Go to Enter Email Addr.
- Or select the number from the last used recipients list.
4. Press Send.
Note: You need to set an email gateway number to send a message to an email address.
For this:
- From the main Menu, Choose Messaging.
- Choose Settings.
- Choose Text Message.
- Press Email Gateway.
- This number is supplied by your Network Service Provider.
