Displaying 'Insert SIM' in Sony Ericsson W900i.

First, Remove the battery cover and then remove the battery and the SIM card carefully.
- Clean the connectors on the SIM card and your phone with soft gentle brush or a soft cloth or a Q-tip moistened with unflavored colorless alcohol.
- Check if there any damage is happened to the SIM card or not. Sometimes, the connector may not align with the connector in the phone.
- Once it has clean properly, then Slide the SIM card into its holder.
- Insert the battery. Make sure that the label should come upside while the connectors facing with each others.
- Slide the battery cover into place.

Are you still having the same issue then you should have to contact your operator / carrier for a new SIM card.
