Motorola V220: Sending DTMF Tones.

Want to send DTMF tones using your Motorola V220 handset? Read on...


Dual-Tone Multi-Frequency (DTMF) signaling is used for telephone signaling over the line in the Voice-Frequency Band to the Call Switching Center.
To use this feature on your Motorola V220, go through these steps.

To Switch On DTMF Tones:
  • Press the Menu button.
  • Select Settings.
  • Press Initial Setup.
  • Press DTMF.


To Relay Cached Numbers as DTMF Tones during a call:
  • Highlight or Accentuate a number in the Phonebook or in Recent Calls List.
  • Press the Menu button.
  • Click on Send Tones.
