Bluetooth Headset and Car Handsfree with your Sony Ericsson phone

Information on Bluetooth headset and handsfree phone is available in this article.

Before you start, make sure that:

  • The Bluetooth headset is fully charged, switched on and within range of the phone
(not more than 1 metre away)
  • Bluetooth is activated in the phone (for more information, see the phone's user's guide)

The first time you switch on your headset it will automatically go into pairing mode. The next time you turn on the Bluetooth Headset, and perhaps wish to pair the headset with another Bluetooth device, you must set the headset in pairing mode manually.

To pair the headset in automatic pairing mode (this only works the very first time you turn on the headset):
  • To switch on the headset, press and hold the Call handling button for 5 seconds, until you hear a beep. The Call handling button is on the front of the headset.
  • The indicator light will now flash red and green, which indicates that the headset is in "Pairing mode".
  •  In the phone, you now have to add the headset to the phone's list of Bluetooth devices. For detailed instructions, click on Product Information/Getting started in the left-hand navigation menu, or use the phone's user's guide.
  •  You must enter a Bluetooth passkey in the phone. The default passkey is 0000.

  • Press both VOLUME BUTTONS, (+) and (-), at the same time for 5 seconds until you hear a beep.
  • The indicator light will now flash red and green, which indicates that the headset is in "Pairing mode".
