Sony Ericsson M600i: Sending Personalized Ringtones via MMS.
Hey!! Now you can send personalized ring tones in picture messages. Want to know more? Read on..
In the MY SOUNDS menu, the image next to a ring tone indicates whether it is polyphonic or in e or i-Melody format:
e and i-Melody Ring tone types are identified by one note.
These formats play only one note at a time and are simpler sounds.
These formats are the types of melody customarily heard on a handset.
Midi Files(using the Polyphonic sound type ) are identified with a two-note representation
Polyphonic (Midi) Ring tones play several notes simultaneously, making a more musical sound.
SENDING MELODY FORMATS: Polyphonic Ring tones can be sent using only Infrared or MMS. On the other hand, i or e melody Ring tones can be sent using all three transmission methods.
Note: The ring tones must be cached in the phone before forwarding it.
