Samsung GSM handset: Downloading EasyGPRS Software.
- EasyGPRS & PC Studio is an exclusive and self supporting application that has its own Phonebook and Date Book interface. This enables you to link your handset to your PC and sustain your records on both the devices. You can also update records or make alterations on either device.
- EasyGPRS does not aid synchronization with other Personal Information Management (PIM) software. For example, as Microsoft Outlook, it connects directly with its own interface.
- The EasyGPRS & PC Studio software is not accessible as a download. You have to buy the EasyGPRS or PC Studio Data kit.
- The EasyGPRS & PC Studio Data Kit comes with an appropriate and compatible serial cable. This enables you to link your handset to your PC if you do not have a laptop with Infrared. The kit contains the software and cable.
- The EasyGPRS software also provides the driver which is needed in case you wish to use your phone as a modem for your computer. You must have mandatory data services enabled on your account with your Service Provider in order to utilize the handset as a modem.
- If you have the EasyGPRS software installed in a laptop, either the laptop's IR port or the serial cable can be used to link it to the phone and use it as a modem. This software is popular with various models of phones. Not all phones have the same competence. That's why when a handset is linked to the PC, the EasyGPRS will locate the available features.
- If the File Manager capabilities are grayed out, it is due to the fact that the particular model does not support File Manager features. Phones which are designed to use this feature only will have access to its use.
- If software updates are available for this application, they can be accessed by selecting the HELP menu and selecting Live Update.
- If there is an update available, it will be automatically updated at that time. If there is no update available, you will be notified.
