Synchronizing Data with a Compatible PC using Nokia E61
To synchronize the data with your PC using your Nokia E61, follow these instructions.
Note: Make sure that you have Nokia PC Suite on your computer before you proceed to
synchronize the data. Your Nokia E61 handset will supports Nokia PC Suite 6.7 or above
versions. The drivers for Nokia DKU-2 and CA-53 cables are integrated into PC Suite.

To synchronize the data, follow the steps mentioned below:
- Connect your Nokia E61 to PC. Make sure that the phone is switched on.
- Activate the IR port of your Nokia E61 so that the PC ports and the device ports are pointing each other.
- Now connect the cable to the PC first and the other end is connecting to the Nokia E61.
- Now activate the Nokia E61 Bluetooth wireless connection with compatible PC.
- The connection is established automatically between them.
- If the PC detects more than one phone then you are prompted to select the used phone from the Phone Selector dialog box.
- Activate the IR port of your Nokia E61 so that the PC ports and the device ports are pointing each other.
- Open Nokia PC Sync.
- In the Nokia PC Sync dialog, click Synchronize Now
- You will see the Create Settings wizard opens.
- When the setting wizard will open then
- Go to drop down menu and select PIM application that you want to synchronize
the phone and follow the instructions given in the Wizard.
- A default setting will be used if you select the skip wizard process. It is recommended that use the personal settings by following the instructions in the wizard to synchronize the settings properly.
- On What To Synchronize page, specify what information to include in the synchronization.
- On the Synchronization Range page,
- Specify the settings for synchronization Calendar/To-do items.
- If you not select the Calendar / To-do Items on the What To Synchronize page, this page will not be shown.
- Specify the settings for synchronization Calendar/To-do items.
- Go to drop down menu and select PIM application that you want to synchronize
- To view and change the automatic synchronization settings, click Advanced settings.
- Click Finish to complete the wizard.
