Sony Ericsson W550i Remote Synchronization Settings

You can Synchronize phone contacts, Appointments, Tasks and Notes via Bluetooth, the Infrared Port, Internet Services or the USB cable included with the Sony Ericsson W550i mobile.

Synchronization software for your computer is available on the CD included with the Sony Ericsson W550i mobile. You can also visit www.SonyEricsson.com/support to download software or Getting started guides for synchronization.


Follow the steps below to select Sync Order for Contacts:
  • Go to Contacts.
  • Click Options.
  • Click Advanced.
  • Click Sync.order to select to order by first or last name.
Install the computer synchronization software using the CD that comes with your Sony Ericsson W550i mobile or you can download it from www.SonyEricsson.com/support. The software includes help information to Synchronize with your nearby devices.

You need to Synchronize Online via an Internet Service for Remote Synchronization. Check the below points before synchronization:
Check if settings are not in your Sony Ericsson W550i mobile.
You need to register a synchronization account online.
You need to Enter Remote Synchronization Settings. Here's how you do it...
  • Go to Organizer.
  • Click Synchronization.
  • Click New Account.
  • Click Yes to create a New Account.
  • Enter a name for the New Account.
  • Click Continue.
  • You need to enter the following as mentioned below:
    • Server Address - server URL.
    • Username - account username.
    • Password - account password.
    • Connection - select an Internet profile.
    • Applications - mark applications to synchronize.
    • App.settings - select an application and enter a database name, and if required, username and password.
    • Sync.interval - set how often to synchronize.
    • Remote initiation - select to always accept, never accepts or always asks when starting from a service.
    • Remote security – Here, you need to insert a server ID and a server password.
  • Click Save to save your new account.
You can now Start Remote Synchronization. Here's how you do it...
  • Go to Organizer.
  • Click Synchronization and select an Account.
  • Click Start.
