Connecting Sony Ericsson K750i to a PC via Data Cable.

Here are instructions to connect your Data cable to both Sony Ericsson K750i and a PC.

Note: Disable Firewall or Anti Virus before installing the drivers.

Automatic Install:

Before installing the driver check whether the DCU-60 cable installed correctly or not.

To do this:

  • Open Device Manager in Windows
  • Go to Ports (COM & LPT)
    • If the Sony Ericsson 750 USB WMC Device Management and Sony Ericsson 750 USB OBEX Interface is listed then the driver is installed in your PC.
    • If the drivers are not listed or any yellow question mark (?) or only Sony Ericsson is appearing then the driver is not installed properly in your computer.
  • If it is not installed in your computer, you need to install it.
To install this follow these instructions as mentioned below:
  • Insert the CD-ROM, which came along with your Sony Ericsson K750i into the CD ROM drive of your PC.
  • Turn On your Sony Ericsson phone and connect the DCU-60  and other end connect to the computer’s USB-port.
  • Select Install software automatically > click Next
  • The CD-ROM automatically finds the drivers then Click Finish when installation is complete.
Make sure that all the drivers should be installed in your PC.

Manual installation:

If you select Manual installation when automatic installation is not possible, then you have to name the source where the drivers can be found.

  • When the drivers are installed with the name Sony Ericsson USB WMC Device Management in the Ports (COM & LPT)
  •  Make a note of the COM-port, which is available behind the notation.
  • To activate the port:
    • Go to your PC
    • Click Start
    • Go to Control Panel > select COM-Ports tab and activate the port that found in the Device Manager.
  •  Make sure that all other ports are deactivated.
