Check out this article to know how to install a phone bluetooth modem

BLUETOOTH

To install a phone as a modem to a PC using a Bluetooth link, you have to follow the three important steps listed below:

First : Pairing
  • Keep the phone with bluetooth on or detectable by other devices.
  • To locate new devices, use the PC software.
  • Make the pairing when you locate the device.

Second : Serial port

1. Check the Bluetooth software of the PC if you detect the phone (it may be labelled
"My Bluetooth devices" or "My Bluetooth places")

2. Check if you can switch on services in the phone (from the PC).

3. Activate Bluetooth serial port, or make sure that the PC did so itself.

4. Go to "Device manager".
  • If it is Windows 98 or ME:(Go to Start, Select Settings, Select Control Panel  and then Select Device Manager).
  •  If it is Windows 2000 or XP :(Go to Start, Select Settings, Select Control Panel,   Select Hardware and then Select Device Manager).
  • Open "Ports, COM & LPT"
5. Check under "Ports and settings" what COM port the Bluetooth serial uses on the PC.

Third: Modem Installation

1. Check whether your phone has the required drivers or not. If you have installed a compatible software for your phone, the modem drivers should be in the windows drivers  database and easily installed.

2. If not, install appropriate software (e.g. T68i needs either "XTND connect
PC" or "Mobile Modem Settings and Modem Drivers" while P900 needs "PC Suite for P900").

3.Try to see that the bluetooth is on and install the modem to the PC using "phones and Modems" in the "control panel" (in windows 98 it is called as "Modems"). Choose the same serial port that the bluetooth uses and the drivers for the particluar phone.

4.Make sure  that no one disturbs the connection.

  • If you are using a P800/P900, or if you have that software installed on the PC, open "Phone connection link" icon (M-router) by the PC clock and uncheck Bluetooth?.
  •  If you are using T39m/T68i/T610/T630/Z600/Z1010/K700/K500/F500/Z520, or if you have that software installed on the PC, open "Control panel" on the PC and "Phone monitor options", go to COM ports and make sure that the Bluetooth? port is not reserved.
5. Make sure that no other application in the PC might use the port or disturb the connection.

6. Phone should now be working as a modem (check last fix).
