Restoring Backed up Data to BlackBerry Handheld

Get stuff back on your Handheld if you have lost data or after a firmware upgrade.

Click here for the steps on how to restore your BlackBerry Handheld.
  1. Start the BlackBerry Desktop Manager on your computer.
  2. Double-click Backup and Restore icon.

  3. Click on Restore. (If you want to back only selective items, click Advanced...).

  4. On the next screen, select the backed up .ipd file and click Open.

  5. You will see a warning message that shows the changes that will happen when you restore.
    • If you want to proceed with restore, click OK.
    • If you don't want to proceed, click Cancel to end the process.

  6. You should see a progress bar as shown:

  7. Once done, click Close.
