Sony Ericsson W800i: Sending and Receiving MMS.

MMS in Sony Ericsson W800i:

Picture Messages consist of textual matter, images, video clips, sound recordings, etc.

You should be a member of an authorized network that supports Picture Messaging.

The receiver of the Picture Message must also have support for Picture Messages.

Before Sending Picture Messages:

The address of your message server must be set:
  • Go to Messaging  and Press Settings.
  • Click on Picture Message and Select Message Server.

Creating and Sending  Picture Messages:

While composing Picture Messages, you can select different functions such as: Picture, Sound , Video, Sound recording, Camera.

To Create and Send Picture Messages:
  • Go to Messaging and Press Write new.
  • Select Add to view and attach a list of items to your message.
  • When you have completed authoring your message, Select More and Press Send.
  • Type in the phone number or Go to Contacts to locate a number or a group.
  • To select the Email address search for the address in you Contact and Press Send.

Setting a Default Message Option:
  • Go to Messaging and Choose Settings.
  • Click on Picture Message and select one.

To receive acknowledgment of the Sent Message: Set the Delivery Report.
Receiving  Picture Messages:

When you receive an automatically downloaded Picture Message, you will hear a message alert.
  • Select Yes to read the message.

  • Select Stop to stop the message.

  • Select Reply to answer.

  • Press to close the message.

  • You can erasethe message by Pressing   key.

  • To Save the message: Press More and Click on Save items.

Adding Templates : Saved Templates can be added to your messages.

Follow the steps given below to add a Template:

  • Go to Messaging and Select Templates and Select the Template.

  • Press Use and Click on Add to add the Template.

  • Press More and Click on Send to send the message.
