How to configure Cox High Speed Internet?

Steps to set up Cox High Speed Internet

• Go to Start > Control Panel

• Double-click on Network Connections

• Select Local Area Connection and right click on it. Go to Properties.

• In Local Area Connection Properties window, check File and Printer Sharing Microsoft Networks check box. Click on the button Install.
  If both Client for Microsoft Networks and Internet Protocol(TCP/IP) are selected, continue to TCP/IP protocol. If Client for Microsoft Networks is selected but Internet Protocol(TCP/IP) is not, directly go to Client Service for NetWare.
  

• Select Client from Select Network Component Type window and Click on Add...

•  Select Client Service for NetWare from Select Network Client window. Click on OK.
  

• Select General tab in Local Area Connection Properties window. Check Client Service for NetWare and click on Install.

• Select Protocol in Select Network Component Type window and click on Add..

• Select Microsoft TCP/IP version 6 and click on OK

• Select General Tab from Local Area Connection Properties window, select Internet Protocol(TCP/IP), click on Install.

• Click on Properties

• In Internet Protocol(TCP/IP) Properties window select General tab, check radio button Obtain an IP address automatically and check Obtain DNS server address automatically. Now click on OK button.
